“You can’t win if you don’t play.”That’s true about life as well as the lottery. How often have we had our dreams crushed by thinking, “I can’t do that”?
You never know what’s possible until you try. If you don’t make an effort, you’ll never know how far you can go.
Don’t judge a book by its cover
Legally Blonde (2001), starring Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, and Selma Blair reminds us that determination can take you far. Witherspoon plays Elle Woods, a sorority girl who has her heart broken.
Elle is determined to win back her guy. She accomplishes the incredible feat of getting into Harvard Law School to impress him.
If what you want to achieve is different from the crowd, stay alone
As a fashionable blonde with a bubbly personality, everyone doubts Elle’s abilities. Her fellow students take bets on how long she will survive law school, and people tell her that she really isn’t cut out for law.
Elle is undeterred by all of this. While she originally wanted to go to Harvard to impress her ex, she ends up finding herself along the way. Elle discovers that she has talents beyond her wildest imagining. She uses her skills to help others.
If she had given up or listened to the people who discouraged her, she couldn’t have achieved so much.
When it comes to your dreams, stand your ground
We need to chase our dreams, or we’ll never know what we can do. Many times, I’ve thought my dreams were impossible to achieve. Perhaps I need to give myself a chance to attempt a few of the things I’ve given up on in the past because of self-doubt.
Elle relentlessly pursues what she wants–no matter what people say. Legally Blonde is motivation to rethink what’s possible.
Legally Blonde gets 4 out of 5 stars for being funny and inspirational.
Embrace possibility and follow your bliss
We’re taught to avoid taking risks and making mistakes. Escape the ordinary, and welcome the possibility of doing something extraordinary.
Watch Legally Blonde and take on a challenge.
